Bryan E. Norman, age 71, resident of Mt. Clare, died 5:30 P.M. Thursday, July 27, 1967, at his residence following a sudden illness. Mr. Norman had retired from his own roofing business after having served the Clarksburg area for many years. He was born Oct. 6, 1896 at Mt. Clare, a son of the late Elias and Mary Longanette Norman. Surviving are his wife Verna Fox Norman; 6 sons, Argyl C. Norman, W. Ritchfield, OH; Richard E. Norman, Mansfield, OH; Robert K. Norman, Kaysville, UT; James A. Norman serving in Vietnam with the US Navy; Bryan J. Norman, serving in Vietnam with the US Coast Guard and Bernard L. Norman of Mt. Clare, 3 daughters, Mrs. J. A. (Agnes) Clapp, Lenora, NC; Mrs. Ralph (Mary) Maltba, Mt. Clare, Mrs. Richard (Polly) Cook, Indianapolis, IN; 1 brother, Thurman E. Norman, Parkersburg; 4 sisters, Mrs. Willa Loser, Webster St., Mrs. Lura Hooper and Mrs. Maude Limbers, both of Clarksburg and Mrs. Bess Long, Stonewood; 23 grandchildren. Mr. Norman was preceded in death by 1 son Keith and 4 brothers. He was a member of the Chub Run EUB Church and was a veteran of World War I.
