Sharon Maltba McCoy, 72, of Short Gap, WV, went to be with the lord on November 7th, 2019. She was born July 8th, 1947 in Clarksburg, WV. She was the daughter of Ralph and Mary Maltba formerly of Mount Clare, WV. Sharon married Mark McCoy on March 12th, 1967 in Nutter Fort, WV. She graduated from Roosevelt Wilson High School in 1965 and Fairmont State College in 1967 as a registered nurse. She worked as an RN at Fairmont General Hospital, Memorial Hospital in Cumberland, MD, Westerly Hospital in Westerly, RI and Myersdale Hospital in Myersdale, PA. She owned Furniss Unlimited in Wiley Ford, WV and was co-owner of Arby's in LaVale, MD.

Sharon loved to paint watercolors and rode her bicycle 500 miles a year. She loved going to her condo at the beach, hunting for seashells and lying in the sun whether on the beach or at home by her pool. She had many wonderful friends and loved playing cards with them. Sharon loved skiing with her boys and going out on the Chesapeake Bay and visiting St. Michaels.

She loved her dog Chance and loved to shop and buy gifts for family, friends and her grandkids. She had a real weakness for shoes. Sharon truly loved life and never allowed any amount of adversity to slow her down.

Sharon is survived by her husband Mark McCoy, son Joshua McCoy and wife Malina and daughters Breslyn and Harper of Shepherdstown, WV. Son Jason McCoy and wife Tracie and son Chase of Short Gap, WV. Sister Diane Maltba Douglas and husband Donnie and daughter Kacey of Kalamazoo, MI and son Chris of Clarksburg, WV. Sister Beth Maltba Allgood and husband Richard of Lawton, OK and daughter Sara and husband Josh Gore of Myrtle Beach, SC. Brother Jim Maltba and wife Tracie of Grantsville, MD and son Drew Maltba and wife Shelby of Accident, MD and daughter Taylor Maltba Amtower and husband Tony of Keyser, WV. Special friends Blondie, Harolyn, Bertie, Denise, Darlene, Al and Donna.
